A Great Budget Starter Team For FIFA Ultimate Team

09.December 2021 by Calum Walker

With Christmas coming up, FIFA 22 is about to be unleashed to a whole new crowd of players looking to jumpstart their ultimate team.

Ultimate team is arguably the most enjoyable game mode on FIFA, but for new players it can be hard to get into without some guidance.

Although we all dream of having THE ultimate team on FIFA, it's a process that requires building up from the bottom.

In this guide we will be taking you through a solid EPL XI for new players to get on a reasonable budget (That is, on top of the brilliant freebies and FIFA gifts you get when starting out).

Let's get started with a fantastic low-price goalkeeper.

GK – Martin Dubravka (Newcastle)

With Newcastle currently sitting at the bottom of the premier league table, an argument could be made that they could be in a better position if their man between the sticks hadn’t had to sit out the first 12 matches of the season with injury.

Dubravka is a solid keeper and with a price tag of around 2.1k on ultimate team he’s also very much within the price range of new players.

LB – Kieran Tierney (Arsenal)

Another baller whose full potential is yet to be realised due to injury; KT is a player who has proved himself time after time on club level and on the international stage.

With a going rate of around 1.1k, Kieran Tierney is a steal and an absolute must for your new FIFA Ultimate team.

RB – Emerson Royal (Spurs)

The ideal qualities in a full back are pace and dribbling and Emerson has the best of both possible on the budget.

For a price of around 2.2k you get a man with 84 pace and 74 dribbling as well as a high physicality and defence score. A lot of bang for your buck if you ask me.

CB – Andreas Christensen (Chelsea) & Jonny Evans (Leicester)

Two powerhouses of premier league football in the centre-half positions help wrap the defence up in a tidy little parcel. With Christensen an undeniable talent and Evans an EPL veteran it’s a no brainer picking these two at the back.

Easily found for less than 2k each; these two are perfect additions to your squad.

CMs – Naby Keita (Liverpool), Jesse Lingard (Man United) & Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool)

This team is made for a 4-3-3 Formation, but any of these playmakers can be shifted up to CAM if your chosen formation calls for it.

You can nab any of these players for around 2k each and by putting Oxlade-Chamberlain in the middle you can make a green link between all three with the club connection to Keita and the international connection to Lingard.

How about that for strong chemistry in your midfield!

LW – Christian Pulisic (Chelsea)

Potentially the biggest bargain in the entire squad. Currently, the USA international has a going rate of around 1.1k, match that up with 89 pace and 86 dribbling and you’re looking at a budget superstar.

RW – Adama Traore (Wolves)

Simply put, Traore is a tank. With 96 pace, 86 dribbling AND an 81 Physicality rating, it’s a miracle you can snatch up this man for a price nearing 1.3k.

These factors together make Traore the obvious choice for the right-wing position. Buy him and you’ll be tearing it up online in no time.

ST – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton)

With 3 goals in as many appearances this season, DCL is another player who most likely makes this list due to missed game time from injury.

It may be bad news for Everton fans but it certainly isn’t for those making an EPL team on a budget.

Currently players are able to get Calvert-Lewin on their team for as little as 1.1k, and he’s certainly the final piece in the puzzle of this EPL budget Super squad.

Conclusion

With so many players on Ultimate Team to be found on a budget, this was just one of many possible squads that we could’ve gone with. Nonetheless, I hope this guide will help jumpstart you into the newest season of FIFA.
